I've opened a new book today - Midnight Library by Matt Haig. The opening quote pulled me in, instantly.
"I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in my life."
- Sylvia Plath
It got me thinking about how learning has an artistic, creative driver as much as a desire to know. It also feeds in to our need to be able to experience each others lives and try and understand things from each others perspectives.
