About the event

This months conversation considers war, climate change, violence, gender inequality, fake news and the many other crises of our time and asks:

How do we stay optimistic in times of doom and gloom?

We'll explore:

  • What causes us to think negatively and feel overwhelmed?
  • What is truth these days?
  • Psychology and social science trends and ideas on anxiety and trauma.
  • Resilience.

________

Loops of Learning holds regular events to inspire change through a dialogue of sense-making.

Conversations help us understand. They give us the chance to test our thinking, understand the systems we live in and empathise with other people. They also create safe spaces to be challenged and challenge the ideas of others. This can help us prepare for conversations where thinking really needs to shift.

These events are monthly and will be held on Sunday mornings at 11.30 am throughout 2022.

Morning tea is provided and you'll be contacted for coffee orders closer to the event.
